Is the bed made of solid wood? What kind of wood is it?
Yes, our beds are produced from solid wood, we work exclusively withTaeda solid wood, a true technical masterpiece for the eyes of design.
But isn't Taeda wood the same as common Pinus?
Definitely not. There is a true technical abyss between retail pinus and our Southern Taeda, although they share the same botanical family (thePinaceae). Common pinus is a utilitarian wood, soft and made for packaging and crates. Our Taeda, on the other hand, belongs to the rigorous structural league of high cabinetry, delivering the tactile, acoustic, and mechanical behavior of a true noble wood.
The secret to all this resistance lies in the climate. Cultivated in the extreme cold of Southern Brazil, Taeda's growth is suspended in the harsh winter. This slow process naturally compacts the raw material, creating narrow rings and an ultra-dense fiber. The result is a cellular structure comparable to that of secular European woods
