Organization is the secret to the spell

Before starting any culinary potion, preparing the space is essential for the magic to flow smoothly. Organize all ingredients in small bowls - just as a wizard organizes his rare components - and keep the necessary utensils within reach.

This organization not only facilitates the process but also allows little apprentices to follow each step of the ritual with clarity and enthusiasm. An organized space is a space where creativity and learning can flourish freely!

Pumpkin and Walnut Cookies

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup oil or olive oil
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree (bake pumpkin pieces for 30-40 min at 180ºC/350ºF, then mash with a fork or blend in a food processor)
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (can substitute with other nuts or raisins)

Preparation spell:

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease two baking sheets with butter and flour.
  2. Place the egg, sugar, pumpkin, oil, milk, and vanilla in a bowl and mix well.
  3. Then add the flours, baking powder, baking soda, salt, walnuts, and cinnamon and mix well to incorporate into the pumpkin mixture.
  4. Using a dessert spoon, scoop a little dough and place it on the baking sheet, remembering to leave about 4 cm of space between each cookie.
  5. Place the baking sheets in the oven and bake for 10 minutes or until the cookies are golden brown.

How the learning tower helps: Your little helper can mix the ingredients in the bowl (under supervision) and arrange the walnuts on the cookies. The perfect height of the tower allows them to participate safely and feel like a true chef wizard!

It's no secret that children involved in food preparation become more curious and open to trying new flavors. The Learning Tower is the perfect furniture to transform the kitchen into a space for discoveries. It allows the child to:

  • Actively participate in the process, from washing ingredients to decorating;
  • Develop autonomy and confidence;
  • Learn about food in a natural and fun way;
  • Stay safe, within adult reach, but with independence to explore.

This Halloween, while preparing magical and healthy recipes, the tower becomes the stage for a unique experience where fun and nutrition go hand in hand.
